Understanding cannabinoids: CBD, CBG and THC
Hemp contains over 120 cannabinoids, but three of them are often in the spotlight: CBD , CBG , and THC . Each has unique properties, useful for well-being or health, but their effects are very different.
CBD: the best known for natural well-being
CBD (cannabidiol) is the key cannabinoid in our products. It is neither psychoactive nor addictive, and acts naturally on:
-
Stress and
-
Chronic pain
-
Sleep disorders
-
The overall balance of the nervous system
CBG: the "parent" of CBD, with targeted effects
Less well-known, CBG (cannabigerol) is often called the " mother cannabinoid " because it is responsible for the formation of CBD and THC in the plant. It is distinguished by:
-
Neuroprotective effects
-
A powerful antibacterial action
-
A potential aid against glaucoma or inflammation
THC: a regulated cannabinoid
THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the only psychoactive cannabinoid . It acts on the central nervous system and can alter perception. This is why its presence is strictly regulated in France.
🔎 At La Ferme Médicale, all our products contain a trace of THC < 0.3% , perfectly legal, to enhance the entourage effect , without any psychoactive effect.
